ANN ARBOR – Georgetown University Executive Vice President and Provost Bob Groves joined representatives from the ISR’s Survey Research Center (SRC) this month to celebrate the one-year anniversary of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).
The five-year agreement was designed to foster academic exchange and interdisciplinary research between the SRC and the Massive Data Institute at Georgetown’s McCourt School of Public Policy. The MOU has already given rise to significant new collaborations between the two institutions. They have worked together to secure funding for a proposal for U-M’s Michigan Institute for Data Science (MIDAS) and on a National Science Foundation proposal involving ISR, Georgetown and the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in California. They are also planning to offer ISR summer courses in Washington, D.C.
