Creating an Infrastructure for the Future

Visit to see the progress on the construction on ISR’s five-level, 56,700 square foot Thompson Street building addition.

In order to fulfill our role as a leader in the social sciences, ISR must have adequate facilities for convening scientists from around the nation and the world. This will require:

  • A large conference room, seating about 180, designed to accommodate national and international conferences as well as faculty research presentations.
  • Collaboratoriums equipped with advanced communication technologies for interviews, teleconferences, and training that will allow ISR researchers to conduct virtual meetings with colleagues worldwide.
  • An expanded and upgraded enclave for secure data storage and analysis, to allow more scientists to move ahead with their research.

Gifts to name these facilities will enable us to hold programs that will bring leaders from around the world to ISR and to keep abreast of the newest technologies to help our scientists reimagine the social sciences of the future.
