As part of our efforts to ensure that ISR is a welcoming and inclusive place for all, I am writing to encourage you to participate in a staff survey designed to provide invaluable feedback about our current climate regarding diversity, equity and inclusion. The survey will be open March 28-April 18.
The web-based survey is open to all staff and takes about 15 minutes to complete. To ensure confidentiality, it will be administered by an independent, third-party firm, SoundRocket. The questions were developed by the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in consultation with advisory committees of faculty, students and staff. Results of the survey will be available in fall 2017.
The survey will help us create a base level of statistics for measuring our climate relating to diversity, equity and inclusion. We’ll repeat the survey in future years to assess progress toward our goals. Please see the attached flyer and factsheet to learn more about the survey. You will receive an email invitation from SoundRocket on March 28, along with a link to the survey.
We have set a goal of 95% participation in the survey, and I urge you to complete it. The better we understand the experiences of our staff, the more effective we can be in responding to the needs of everyone in our community. Thank you for your participation.
